John Breslin focuses his practice primarily on both criminal defense matters and landlord-tenant issues. From the firm’s offices in Newton and Rockaway, he represents clients in Sussex, Passaic, and Morris counties as well as other areas of Northern New Jersey.
John has been in practice for over 27 years. He received his J.D. from Fordham Law School in Manhattan in 1996. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar and Sussex and Morris County Bar Associations. He is actively involved in his community and is a member of the Newton Chamber of Commerce. John also serves as a member of the American Legion Post 86 and a member of a non-profit Final Salute, an honor guard organization assisting in military funerals. John is an enlisted Navy veteran.

John Michael “Sean” Breslin, Esq., a third-generation litigation attorney, has passionately defended clients for over 27 years. He focuses his practice on criminal defense, landlord-tenant disputes, and debt collection. Sean represents clients across Sussex, Passaic, Morris counties, and other areas in Northern New Jersey, from the firm’s offices in Newton and Rockaway. Sean’s extensive experience spans various criminal cases, from minor harassment charges to complex co-conspirator murder cases. He has a deep understanding of the local legal landscape, having built strong relationships with prosecutors in Morris and Sussex counties. Sean is committed to securing the best possible outcomes for his clients, taking into account the unique facts of each case, including prior criminal history and substance abuse issues.
Sean earned his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law in Manhattan in 1996 and is admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and New York. He is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar, as well as the Sussex and Morris County Bar Associations.
Beyond his legal practice, Sean is dedicated to serving his community. He is a member of the Newton Chamber of Commerce, American Legion Post 86, and a proud participant in Final Salute, a nonprofit organization that provides honor guard services for military funerals. As a Navy veteran, Sean brings the discipline and commitment of his military service to his legal practice.
